Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have launched an amazing new game show with a twist – the contestants are playing for an unlimited jackpot.
The popular TV duo will host the Limitless Win TV game show on ITV, in which contestants answer questions to climb a silver ladder – which never ends – for a chance to win a potentially huge prize.
However, if they push their luck too far, they will collapse and lose their winnings.
The one-hour episodes will air on Saturday nights and will run for five weeks.
An ITV statement said the show would be “filled with drama, danger and real emotion.”
Ant and Dec said they were delighted viewers were watching the show and have been working on their secret project for some time.
âWe are really excited to launch this new series. This is something that we’ve been developing with Hello Dolly and ITV for some time now and we can’t wait for you all to experience it, âAnt said.
“We hope you like it as much as we do.”
Dec added, âIt’s been several years since we launched a whole new TV format, it’s not something we do very often.
“But we’ve discovered something revolutionary and innovative, and that’s why we’re so excited to host this series and bring it to the country.”
Katie Rawcliffe, ITV’s head of entertainment controls, said Ant and Dec fans would love the new game show, which she said would have viewers “on the edge of their seats.”
âIt’s extremely exciting to work with the wonderful Ant and Dec on a new format of prime time entertainment where contestants can win unlimited cash prizes.
âUnpredictable, tense and guaranteed to have viewers on the edge of their seats, it’s a different quiz than anything you’ve seen before,â she teased.
The Limitless Win announcement comes as the TV duo gear up for the National Television Awards tonight as they are in the running to win best TV presenter gong for a record 20th time.
Ant and Dec are also gearing up for the upcoming I’m a Celebrity series, which won Best Reality TV Show at the TV Choice Awards on Monday.
In their acceptance speech via video link, the duo said they were eager to bring the hugely popular reality show back to television screens.
“” Thank you to all the celebrities who participated in Wales last year. Thanks to ITV [and] everyone who worked on the show, âAnt said.
âWe love doing I’m a Celebrity and can’t wait to do the next series. Bring it on!â
