Beat Shazam: Season 5; FOX Renews Jamie Foxx Game Show, Sets Premiere Date – Canceled + Renewed TV Shows



The race to beat the Shazam app will continue. FOX renewed the Beat Shazam TV series for a fifth season which will begin on Monday May 23. The 10-episode fourth season aired in August 2021.

An interactive and musical game show, the Beat Shazam The series is hosted by Jamie Foxx and his daughter, Corinne Foxx, serves as Deejay. The competition features three teams of two players as they race against the clock and each other to identify song selections. During each round, Jamie Foxx presents a choice of two musical categories. The goal is to be the first team to correctly identify the title of the song. As low-scoring teams are eliminated, the team that collects the most money will eventually advance to compete against the Shazam app, for a chance to win a $1 million prize..

Airing Thursday nights, the fourth season of Beat Shazam earned an average rating of 0.44 in the 18-49 age group and 1.87 million viewers. Compared to Season 3, that’s a 27% drop in the demo and a 24% drop in viewership in the Live+ same day ratings (including DVR playback until 3:00). Compared to the network’s other summer shows, Beat Shazam was an intermediate artist.

The upcoming fifth season will include a special episode featuring teachers. Another episode will be devoted to heroes, with soldiers, firefighters and police officers.
