Danny Dyer and Ellie Taylor are set to host a new game show on Netflix, it has been revealed.

The EastEnders legend is set to step down from his iconic role as Mick Carter later this year, but he already has a new project on the way.

He teams up with comedian Ellie Taylor to host Cheata new general knowledge series from Netflix where contestants will be able to put their general knowledge to the test in front of a live studio audience.

Over three quiz rounds, four players will attempt to avoid elimination and build up a jackpot worth up to £50,000, with the added bonus that if they don’t know the answer they will can try to fight their way to victory!

Danny said: “It’s an awesome new series and there’s no trivia game better suited for me; expect huge payouts, loads of slippery people cheating and joking with the only and unique, Ellie Taylor.”

Ellie Taylor added: “I’m so excited to join Cheat and the Netflix family. Cheat has all the elements I want in a game show; good questions, shameless cheating, and Danny Dyer calling me ‘Treacle’ at least once an episode. I am excited to begin !”

Netflix’s synopsis for the upcoming series reads, “Cheat is a revolutionary, high-stakes quiz show where contestants can literally CHEAT to win a fortune…as long as they don’t get caught!

“In each episode, four brave players have their knowledge put to the test, as they battle over three rounds to avoid elimination and win a jackpot worth up to £50,000. But there has a crucial twist in this all-new quiz. …if you don’t know the answer… it pays to CHEATE!”

Danny Dyer has revealed he will be leaving EastEnders Albert Square behind in January after spending nearly a decade on the BBC soap opera as pub owner Mick Carter.

Since then, he’s been rumored to team up with his daughter Dani Dyer for a new series of trips to E4. Danny also teased that there was an “epic” EastEnders exit storyline lined up for Mick later this year, and he would also top the 2022 wishlist for the I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! line up.

Cheat is coming to Netflix in 2023.
