The week of October 25-29, 2021 was a good week for most daytime shows, as each series increased dramatically from week to week in total viewership, with the exception of “The Young and the Restless” and ” The Bold and the Beautiful “. Which were respectively down by -111,000 viewers and -8,000 viewers compared to the previous week. Compared to the same week last year, however, both gained the most with an increase of +370,000 viewers for “Y&R” and an increase of +251,000 for “B&B”.

In addition to the two CBS soap operas, “General Hospital” and “The Talk” were the only other daytime shows to see a year-over-year increase in total viewership (+169,000 viewers for “GH”; +12 000 viewers for “The Parlez”). In fact, “The Talk” posted its best numbers in eight months with 1.526 million viewers last week. Obviously, the addition of Nathalie Morales breathed much needed good news for the show which entered its 12th season in September. Overall, “GMA3: What You Need to Know” saw the largest increase in total viewership week-over-week, up +148,000 viewers, while “The View” recorded the largest increase in total viewership on a week-to-week basis, up +148,000 viewers, while “The View” recorded the largest increase in total viewership. again recorded the largest year-over-year decline, down -542,000 viewers.

In the ranking of women aged 25 to 54, only “Y&R” and the first half hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” saw a drop from week to week while the other shows saw increases led by “GMA3” (+0.10), “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” (+0.07), “GH” (+0.06), “The View” and “TODAY 3rd Hour” (+0.05 each) Year-over-year, all daytime shows experienced a demo drop, with the second half hour of “The Price is Right” falling the most (-0.19), followed by the first half hour of the game show (-0.16), “The View” (-0.12), “Days of our Lives” (-0.10) and the second half hour of “Let’s Make a Deal” ( -0.10).

In the ranking of women aged 18 to 49, “The Talk” was the only series that aired during the daytime year-over-year, while “B&B” and “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” were stable. All other shows were down. Week-over-week, “GMA3” and “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” recorded the largest gains (+0.07 each), followed by “The Talk” and “TODAY 3rd Hour” ( +0.05 each).
