ITV’s Lingo viewers spot Big Brother star on daytime game show

Fans of ITV’s Lingo were shocked to see a well-known face compete as a contestant for the hit daytime TV show.

The quiz show – which has had a revival in 2021 after more than 30 years – sees contestants guessing words on screen in the hope of winning a cash prize and is hosted by the actor and TV presenter Adil Ray.

On Tuesday, January 18, a former Big Brother star was spotted making an appearance on the ITV game show.

Big Brother star Ashleigh Coyle – who was a 2014 series runner-up on Helen Wood’s reality show – was one of three pairs competing on Lingo.

The 26-year-old from Derry was on the show with her mother Mary, but sadly they didn’t make it to the final round.

Fans were shocked to see the Big Brother contestant on the daytime show and took to Twitter to ask if anyone else recognized the star.

“Ashleigh from #BigBrother now on #lingo blast from the past,” Michelle posted.

“Does Ashleigh come from the 15 year old big brother?? #jargon,” asked Natalie Dickinson.

Tom Bennett added: “Wasn’t she big brother?? #Lingo #Ashleigh”

“Ashleigh from BB15 is currently on Lingo on ITV #bbuk #lingo,” added another Twitter user.

Jazzi tweeted: “Are my eyes deceiving me or is it Ashleigh from BB Power Trip on Lingo?? #BBUK #Lingo”

Lingo airs weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub from 3 p.m.
