Married At First Sight is perhaps one of Australia’s most popular shows on television.

“I often wish I could take all of reality TV and blow it up”: Australian actor Joel Edgerton, 46, criticized Australia’s “obsession” with reality TV shows like Married At First Sight
The actor, 46, said that while he understands that reality shows bring people some kind of entertainment, they could also bring fun by providing more “thoughtful” programming.
“I see the obsession with it; I think someone has to keep an eye on culture and not just profit, ”he said.
“Maybe I’m just a little fuddy-duddy. Because who am I to roll my eyes to the term influencer or say that Married at first sight is a terrible, terrible thing? You cannot judge better quality things if they are not offered.

Joel’s take on Australia’s love affair with reality TV comes just days after it was revealed he would be joining Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in upcoming Disney + series, Obi -Wan Kenobi.
Disney + announced the casting for its next series of events in April, and production is already in full swing.
McGregor, 49, will return as the titular Obi-Wan while Hayden, 39, will play Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader.
“Rematch of the Century”: In March, Disney + announced that Joel will join Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen in the upcoming Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi
The next event in the series will take place 10 years after the events of the 2005 Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith film, and will see Obi-Wan take on Anakin Skywalker.
Last year, LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy described the rumble as “the rematch of the century.”
While many fans believed Obi-Wan and Anakin didn’t meet again until he completely transformed into Darth Vader in the 1977 Star Wars debut film, A New Hope, this show will reveal a battle between the two.
