King of the Hill creator says animated sitcom ‘has a very good chance of coming back’

I’ve heard from a king of the hill on remand for the past few months. The creators were to hint to us about the eventual return of the beloved sitcom.

At San Diego Comic Con today, Chief Executive Mike Judge answered a fan request in his Beavis & Butt-Head panel regarding the potential revival. “The show has a very good chance of coming back.”

The first report of a revival came in January when Judge and fellow creator Greg Daniels reunited at a former animation company called Bandera Entertainment. At the time, the two suggested something about King of the Hill was in the works (as part of the Beavis & Butt-Head revival that was the subject of the panel), but didn’t give. More details.

Unfortunately, following the story, Daniels clarified that they haven’t reached a deal yet, even though they were talking about an internal awakening 15 years after the finale. It makes the judge’s remarks today a comforting reassurance to anyone who feared things were going wrong.

Judge, from the same panel, said he heard about the possibility of another spin-off of his works, calling them a total “Past-Head” metaverse, made possible by Paramount.

We saw new clips from Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe where the duo react to BTS and TikTok videos. The clip arrives ahead of the upcoming premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, August 4.

You can find plenty of news for your favorite films, movies, games, and more coming out of Comic-Con 2022. This year, we’ve got a full schedule of panels, announcements, trailers, and surprises.
