Musicians ready for new music game show Superfan

If you had the chance to prove that you’re an artist’s biggest supporter, would you take it? Well, some lucky contestants will have the chance to do so in a new upcoming series, super fan.

The CBS musical game show will have a total of six episodes, Deadline reports. The contest will take music fanatics through multiple rounds to prove they are an artist’s ultimate fan.

The series will be hosted by executive producer Keltie Knight and TV host of CBS Matinees, Nate Burleson. Jack Martin serves as showrunner.

In hour-long episodes, a different artist will select a fan to win a “one-time prize”.

There will be a total of six artists, one featured in each episode. Kelsea Ballerini, Gloria Estefan, Little Big Town, LL Cool J, Pitbull and Shania Twain will let fangirls or guys go wild on them.

The new series does not yet have a release date. Deadline reports that filming will begin in Los Angeles this Friday, April 22.

Since this is an unscripted TV series and its only six episodes, filming and editing shouldn’t take too much time. It’s not like fantasy series that require a lot of post-production work. Depending on when CBS can adapt super fan in his television program, I don’t expect the wait to be long. It could be released pretty quickly.

I would have liked to have had a little more information on the show. How will the contestants prove they’re the ultimate fan? Through trivial questions? I assume that since there are six artists and six episodes, each hour-long episode will be dedicated to a musician. That’s a lot of time to fill. They’re going to have to get creative to keep viewers tuned in.

Are you going to discover the new series? Do you like the musical artists who have been chosen? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
