Perrault and Yacenda are working directly with Riot to make Players. The sitcom comes at the perfect time, as Riot’s animated series Esoteric revived public interest in League of Legends. Outside of TV, Riot has also launched two spin-off games set in the universe of League of Legends last year, with two more spin-off games slated for release in 2022.

While League of Legends is just one of the many games fueling the esports community, there isn’t much content available that takes a behind-the-scenes look at a market that grows every year.
