What happened last week: Finn strangled Sheila and received a syringe full of sedatives in her hip for her problem. Bill finally got the relevant details from Li after Liam recognized her. A mad dash was made to save Finn, who had almost succeeded in convincing Sheila to let him go. He and Li kissed, and Bill then flew the young man to Monaco in his private jet… but Sheila escaped. Also in Monaco were Ridge and Taylor, who were stunned to learn their son-in-law was alive and witnessed his reunion with Kelly and Hayes. As Finn went looking for Steffy, back home, Liam and Hope shared the exciting news of her resurrection with an elated Brooke, Eric and Thomas.
Where is the love? days of our lives has seriously struggled lately to give us compelling pairings, but there’s still time to put things right – well, except for poor Jake and Ava. Fortunately, it won’t take much to right the ship!
From Abigail to Jake, Curtis can’t help but notice this week days of our lives column that not all deaths are created equal – but they set up what is shaping up to be a reversal, a protracted fight for control of DiMera. Plus, it looks like Gwen, Xander, and Sarah are about to dive headfirst into a triangle, which is sure to upset “Xarah” fans, but at least it should finally give them some time to the screen!
What happened last week: Jake bought Ava an engagement ring, but moments after she said yes, they were held back and Jake was shot. After blackmailing Chad and Kate for their parts, EJ attempted to take control of Jake, but Gabi convinced Ava to pretend she and Jake were married so she would get them. Meanwhile, Kristen and Rolf have stolen Jake’s body. Eric came to Nicole’s rescue while she was being restrained by the same attacker as Jake. He then consoled Jada, who had shot and killed the attacker. Sarah hallucinated Gwen pointed a gun at her, so Sarah pulled out a knife. Fortunately, Xander diffused the situation. Sonny’s fun brother Alexander came to town and quickly settled into the house, which included asking Sonny for a job.
Spencer, Trina and Esme dominated general hospital, but as great as it is to see the young man finally stand up for the woman he loves, there are still enough plot holes in the trial to leave Dustin frustrated. Worse still, it reveals that Ryan doesn’t even know who Esme’s mother is and has sent so many story possibilities up in smoke!
What happened last week: Curtis found Oz drugged in his apartment as Esme fled. As Michael continued to use Dex to try and take Sonny down, Joss also joined in the game and filmed his stepfather beating up the photographer who gave Sasha drugs. However, Dex convinced her to delete the video because he would go down and Sonny would probably walk away. Esme refused Spencer’s deal to clear Trina in exchange for information about her mother. Ryan, however, claimed he didn’t even know his mother’s real name. Spencer provided Trina with an alibi in court, but that may not be enough to exonerate her. And after Nikolas admitted to her affair, Ava confronted Esme and realized the young woman had her own personal vendetta against her for some reason.
Long before viewers met Ashland, we were told he was a man to be reckoned with. But instead of someone who could pose a real threat to Victor, Ashland turned out to be a confusing mess who never lived up to his potential. Here’s our take on how things got so bad.
What happened this week: Diane has made huge strides with the Abbotts, with Kyle telling Harrison that she is his grandmother and helping break the news to the boy of Ashland’s death. Although it appeared to happen when Locke lunged at Victoria and hit his head against the fireplace after a punch from Nick, the official word was that he had died in a car accident. Sally overheard Adam telling Sharon that he dumped the redhead to save her job. But Sally’s later efforts to reunite with him were unsuccessful, so she decided to stay with Newman Media. Phyllis took the first step in her and Nikki’s plan to sabotage Diane by pressuring Summer for a job at Marchetti. The day for Tessa’s vocal cord surgery arrived, and she and Mariah were comforted by Sharon as they faced their fears about the possible outcome.
