Tusker FC in past actions
It was an eventful weekend in the FKF Premier League.
Defending champions Tusker dropped points in a draw with Nairobi City Stars to put Tusker three points clear after a 2-1 win over KCB at Kakamega’s Bukhungu Stadium.
Wazito sought to allay his relegation fears with a 1-0 victory at Nzoia Sugar.
Saturday’s action saw Sofapaka edge Bidco United 2-1 as Ulinzi Stars and Posta Rangers settled for a 0-0 draw as Bandari thrashed Vihiga Bullets 4-1.
The match between FC Talanta and Gor Mahia did not take place after Gor refused to travel to Kakamega where Talanta intended to host the encounter. They cited the fact that the site was over 200km from Nairobi and not one of Talanta’s designated host sites. This match was later postponed.
The Kariobangi Sharks did not honor their clash against the AFC Leopards on Saturday. A statement from the club read: “Our team will not be playing our away match against AFC Leopards scheduled for Saturday 14th May 2022.”
And to cap off the weekend, Mathare United’s relegation from the top league has been confirmed after missing three consecutive league games.
