Here is a list of major release and entry news of the four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite artists from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring or daytime roles.

days of our lives

A trio of returns to Days of our Lives. Lamon Archey, whose character, Eli Grant, had gone to visit his mother, finally resurfaced in Salem on Wednesday, February 23.

Meanwhile, Matthew Ashford returns to the stage as Jack Deveraux on Tuesday, February 22, in confrontational scenes opposite Emily O’Brien’s Gwen Rizczech, and James Read appears for another soap opera story arc. as Clyde Weston on Monday, February 21, when the character welcomes his new cellmate, Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ DiMera.

On the release front, during an appearance on the Apple podcast, Not Too Deep with Grace Helbig, Victoria Konefal revealed that she may be taking time off from her role as Ciara Brady Weston again. The actress is considering appearing in a film a friend is producing. However, nothing is official yet.

On General Hospital, Helena Mattsson temporarily took on the role of Sasha Gilmore for a few episodes. She replaces her real sister, Sofia Mattsson, who needed time off from the soap opera. The actress’ credits include The Rookie, Mistresses and American Horror Story.

Real Andrews announced that he was back at work recording scenes as Marcus Taggert via his Instagram account. Trina Robinson’s (Sydney Mikayla) father made his final appearance on the soap last week, albeit portrayed by Asante Jones.

The two new WSB authorities must travel to Switzerland to help Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) find Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Josh Adamson and Kristina Kele appear as Agent Krieger and Agent Muller respectively this week.

Kate Orsini plays Rebecca Diamond, Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) divorce attorney. Meanwhile, David Lautman appeared as Smoltz on February 15, the freelance writer who told a story to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) about Corinthos’ upcoming divorce.

David Rees Snell begins a run as Malcolm, Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) divorce attorney this week. Actor’s credits include primetime hits The Shield, Sons of Anarchy and SWAT

The young and the restless

After a long hiatus from the soap opera, Jess Walton is finally returning to The Young and the Restless as Jill Abbott. Look for the popular vet to quickly get into the mix of things with his number one son, Jason Thompson’s Billy Abbott.

Beth Maitland also returns as Traci Abbott this week. The character is giving someone a stern warning on Tuesday, February 22

Leigh-Ann Rose returns as Imani on Friday, February 25. She will share scenes with her TV sister Mishael Morgan, who plays Amanda.
